Tortuguero

Tractor, bus and boat to an island in Tortuguero.

Checked into Baula Lodge. Great rooms, pool, food and happy hour.

Took a water taxi to the main island and national park. Took part in a beach clean-up, removing all the plastic we could find from a section of the protected Turtle hatching area. Then to town where we were rewarded with ice cream and walked around a bit.

Then water taxi back to the lodge for a swim, dinner and early sleep.

Next morning up early for a little breakfast before kayaking through the canals.

Followed by a walk through the national park in the afternoon before dinner.

Next day it’s off to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca for a couple more days in the Caribbean.
